Wind energy working for you

We develop, construct, and operate wind power projects — and combine them with battery storage so that more of the energy is utilized locally rather than being curtailed.

Land & coastal Project types we work with
Wind + battery Hybrid solutions for higher utilization
Services

The entire value chain for wind projects

Project development

From site screening and authority approvals to grid connection.

Construction

Coordination of the entire construction process with qualified partners.

Operations & maintenance

Continuous monitoring and optimization via our VPP platform.

Process

From idea to operation

01

Analysis & potential

We are mapping wind resources, grid capacity, and regulatory conditions to assess the project's technical and economic potential.

02

Authority Approval & EIA

We handle the EIA process, local planning, and grid connection agreements with the grid operator.

03

Construction

We coordinate the entire construction process with qualified partners, from foundation to grid connection.

04

Operations & optimization

Our VPP platform continuously monitors and optimizes production, and when combined with a battery, surplus production can be stored instead of being curtailed.

The difference in practice

Wind alone vs. wind combined with battery

Without storage, the value of surplus production on windy days is often lost.

Questions and Answers

Good to know about wind projects

What is an EIA, and why is it necessary?

An EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) is a mandatory environmental assessment for wind turbine projects exceeding a certain size. We manage the process as part of the official authorization.

How long does a wind project take?

From analysis to commissioning, a typical wind project takes between 2 and 5 years, primarily driven by regulatory processing, EIA, and grid connection.

Can existing wind turbines be upgraded with a battery?

Yes. We are adding battery storage to existing wind turbines, so that surplus production can be stored and sold when it is most valuable, instead of being curtailed.

Who owns the facility?

As with our other solutions, you can choose full ownership, co-ownership with Meganet, or an operating agreement where we own the facility and you receive a share of the earnings.

What happens during a downregulation?

Without storage, you lose the value of the curtailed production. With a battery in a hybrid system, the surplus production can instead be stored and used later.

Can a wind turbine participate in system services?

The wind turbine itself cannot provide system services directly, but combined with a battery, the plant can participate in FCR, aFRR, mFRR, and FFR via our VPP platform.
