What is a PPA, and when does it make sense?
A Power Purchase Agreement is a long-term agreement to purchase electricity from a solar park at an agreed price, often relevant for larger ground-mounted installations without direct self-consumption.
How long does a solar panel project take?
From analysis to commissioning, a typical project takes between 6 and 18 months, depending on size, regulatory approval, and grid connection.
What happens to surplus production on sunny days?
Without storage, surplus production is often curtailed or sold at a low price. Combined with a battery, the surplus can instead be stored and used when it is most valuable.
Can a roof system be combined with a battery?
Yes. Battery storage can be added to both ground-mounted and rooftop systems so that a larger portion of self-production is utilized locally.
Who owns the facility?
As with our other solutions, you can choose full ownership, co-ownership with Meganet, or an operating agreement where we own the facility and you receive a share of the earnings.
Can the solar cell system be part of an energy community?
Yes. Locally produced solar energy can be shared between neighboring properties through an energy community, which we also help establish and operate.
